We are extremely proud of our ISO accreditations which are further proof of our commitment to providing our customers with an unparalleled service. We we have been awarded three separate ISO certifications by SGS, recognised as the global benchmark for quality and integrity.
ISO certification is one of the most widely accepted and internationally renowned standards and covers our Quality Management Standards (ISO:9001), Environmental Responsibilities (ISO:14001) and Information Security Management System (ISO:27001).
These ISO certifications reflect our commitment to quality in every area of the business, and in order to achieve them we were required to satisfy the auditors from SGS.
ISO 9001
ISO 9001 is the international standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS) and a particularly powerful tool for business improvement.
The ISO 9001 certification helps us to continually improve and streamline operations, reduce costs, demonstrate strong governance and work effectively with our stakeholders and our supply chain. In short, it helps us to provide services and products which not only meet, but possibly exceed, our customers’ expectations.
ISO 14001 and ISO 27001
ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 are absolutely vital to Asset Disposal, with sustainability, environmental responsibility and data security all sitting at the very forefront of our business.
ISO 14001 is the international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), setting out the criteria we require in order to follow an effective Environmental Management System. This ensures we are able to provide assurances to all of our stakeholders that environmental impact is not just being measured, but that we are making every effort to improve it by meeting industry-specific ecological standards.
ISO 27001 certification is a rigorous information security standard which helps us implement a robust approach to information security. It provides an extensive framework for managing valuable assets, such as financial data, clients’ data, intellectual property, employee details and information entrusted by third parties.
By implementing and following the necessary steps to comply with this standard, we can identify, control, and eliminate security risks.
Our ISO accreditations not only demonstrate that we have met the extensive criteria of these standards, but also that we are committed to improving quality in every area of the business.

About SGS
The company was founded in Rouen, France in the 1870s by Henri Goldstruck, who spotted an opportunity to inspect French grain shipments at one of the country’s largest ports. The following year the company opened offices in France’s three largest ports, Le Havre, Dunkirk and Marseille.
It wasn’t until 1919 that the company adopted the name Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), following its move to new headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
What followed was diversification in industrial services inspecting industrial machines and goods and further expansion as the company began providing services for the oil, gas and chemical sectors, mineral industries and governments and institutions.
